Ramadan Aid Cash Distribution (Sadaqat al-Fitr) Kabul, Afghanistan
Project Overview:
In response to the urgent humanitarian needs following the recent tragedy at the Kabul Drug Treatment Hospital, Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) provided targeted emergency assistance to the most vulnerable affected individuals. On 18 March 2026, EWSSO delivered emergency cash assistance to 59 injured drug-affected individuals at Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital, Emergency Hospital, and Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Kabul. The project aimed to support individuals facing severe hardship, enabling them to recover with dignity and meet their urgent needs. This initiative was made possible through the generous support of the worshippers of Allama Syed Jamaluddin Afghani Mosque, Brussels – Belgium, whose continued humanitarian assistance reflects the true spirit of compassion and solidarity.
Achievements:
• Successfully provided emergency cash assistance to 59 injured individuals across three major hospitals in Kabul.
• Ensured timely response to urgent humanitarian needs following the hospital tragedy.
• Enabled beneficiaries to cover immediate medical and basic living expenses, supporting
their recovery process.
• Maintained transparent and accountable distribution, with proper coordination at hospital level.
• Strengthened trust between EWSSO and affected communities through dignified and targeted assistance.
