Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization implemented Food packages in Paktia province

Afghanistan remains one of the most impoverished Islamic nations, facing severe poverty and economic hardship. During the blessed month of Ramadan—a time of mercy, compassion, and generosity—many vulnerable families continue to struggle with hunger and food insecurity. Orphans, widowed families, returnees, and other disadvantaged households are among those most in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.

In this Holly month of Ramadan, Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) implemented Food packages in Paktia province and IFTARI Meal project in Kabul Province. Through this initiative, Food packages were distributed to vulnerable families in Paktia province to help ease their hardship and enable them to observe Ramadan with dignity and peace of mind. In addition, IFTAR meals were provided to fasting individuals and vulnerable community members to support them at the time of breaking their fast in Kabul province Pul -e- Khashti Mosque.

This initiative was made possible through the generous support of the IHH – Humanitarian Relief Foundation, whose continued humanitarian assistance reflects the true spirit of charity and solidarity during Ramadan.

Project Overview:
Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) successfully implemented a Ramadan humanitarian assistance project in Paktia & Kabul province on 09. March.2026 Food Packages & 10th 11th 12th March 2026 IFTARI. Through this initiative, 800 food packages and 1,548 IFTAR Meal were distributed to vulnerable and disadvantaged families and individuals in Paktia & Kabul provinces to help ease food insecurity during the blessed month of Ramadan.

The project aimed to support families and individuals facing severe economic hardship, enabling them to observe Ramadan with dignity and peace of mind. This initiative was made possible through the generous support of the IHH, whose continued humanitarian assistance plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable Afghan communities during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Achievements:

  • Direct Impact: Successfully distributed 800 Food Packages in Paktia & 1,548 IFTAR Meal in Kabul to vulnerable families and individuals on 09. March.2026 Food Packages & 10th 11th 12th March 2026 IFTARI directly addressing food insecurity and supporting households during the blessed month of Ramadan.
  • Community Support: Strengthened solidarity and compassion within the community by assisting disadvantaged families, enabling them to observe Ramadan with dignity and reduced hardship.
  • Operational Efficiency: Despite economic and logistical challenges, EWSSO team implemented the project effectively and completed the distribution in a timely and organized manner, demonstrating strong commitment and accountability.

    Project Outcomes

    Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) distributed 800 Food Packages to vulnerable families in Paktia and 1,548 IFTAR Meal to vulnerable individuals in Kabul Province, benefiting approximately 7,148 individuals.
