Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) distributed 830 kg meat for vulnerable and returnee families in Logar
Project Overview:
The Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) successfully carried out the Qurbani Project, a significant Sunnah practice in Islam. This initiative took place in Logar Province, Afghanistan, where 7 cows and 4 sheep were sacrificed. The meat was carefully distributed among 276 households, with each family receiving 3 kg to support their nutritional needs.
Made possible through a generous grant from the Hayat Foundation – UK, this project ensured that vulnerable communities could observe Qurbani despite their challenging circumstances. Beyond its religious significance, the initiative aimed to provide essential nutrition to those in need, fostering a sense of unity and compassion.
The project was successfully implemented on June 7, 2024, in Logar Province, Afghanistan.
