General Council of Ehsas Welfare & Social Services Organization – 2025

The General Council of Ehsas Welfare & Social Services Organization was held on sept, 2025 with the participation of scholars, religious leaders, provincial officials, and staff members of the organization. During this meeting, participants discussed ways to strengthen humanitarian services and expand support programs for the people of Afghanistan.

The council focused on several key areas. First, the need to increase assistance to affected families across the country—particularly in earthquake-affected provinces—was emphasized. Second, enhancing the professional and managerial capacities of staff and provincial officials to ensure more effective and organized service delivery was discussed. In addition, special programs aimed at supporting orphans and providing opportunities for education, healthy development, and a brighter future for them were reviewed.

Another major topic of discussion was strengthening the organization’s activities in supporting needy families through the distribution of food items, the provision of essential assistance, and the creation of sustainable livelihood opportunities. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of education and training for low-income segments of society as a means of empowering future generations.

Participants also concluded that Ehsas Welfare & Social Services Organization should pursue several priority areas with greater commitment in its future programs. These areas include supporting female-headed households, orphans, and vulnerable families; expanding technical and vocational training programs for youth and women; providing rapid assistance during emergencies and natural disasters; strengthening cooperation with religious scholars and community leaders to promote a culture of solidarity and humanitarian support; and implementing programs aimed at achieving economic self-reliance for impoverished families.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the leadership of Ehsas Welfare & Social Services Organization reaffirmed that the organization’s core mission is sincere service to the people, reducing the suffering of those in need, and striving to build a better and more stable future for Afghanistan.
