Emergency Aid Distribution to Earthquake Victims Kunar, Afghanistan

Afghanistan is one of the most impoverished Islamic nations, experiencing severe poverty, especially during these difficult times when famine, hunger, and a dismal economic climate threaten thousands of vulnerable people, including earthquake affected, returnees, orphans, and widowed families. In this context, the Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) implemented a humanitarian project in Kunar province, where 200 food packages, 400 blankets, 200 kitchen kits and 200 hygiene kits were distributed to 400 earthquake victims’ families. This initiative aimed to provide immediate relief to families who are struggling with any kind of insecurities after difficult circumstances. The project was made possible through the generous support of the Baitulmaal Foundation, whose consistent humanitarian assistance continues to ease the suffering of vulnerable Afghan communities.

Project Overview:

The Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) successfully implemented a humanitarian project in Kunar province, where 200 food packages, 400 blankets, 200 kitchen kits and 200 hygiene kits were distributed to 400 earthquake victims’ families. The initiative aimed to address the urgent needs of vulnerable families who recently lost their homes, providing them with immediate relief and dignity during their resettlement.

This project was made possible through the generous support of the Baitulmaal Foundation, whose continued assistance plays a crucial role in supporting the well-being of Afghan communities. The project was implemented from 01-04 December 2025 demonstrating our commitment to standing alongside vulnerable groups during times of hardship.

Achievements:

  • Direct Impact: Successfully distributed 400 earthquake victims’ families, directly addressing their urgent needs and ensuring immediate relief.
  • Community Support: Strengthened a sense of solidarity and compassion within the community by supporting vulnerable returnee families during their difficult transition period.

    Project Outcomes
