Slaughter of 200 Cows for Vulnerable & Returnee Families in Kabul and Nangarhar province

Afghanistan remains one of the most impoverished Islamic nations, facing severe hardship, particularly in these difficult times. Famine, hunger, and a declining economy threaten thousands of vulnerable individuals, including orphans and widowed families.

The YERYOZ0 DOKTORLARI DERNEĞI (YYD) has provided substantial humanitarian aid to support those in need during this crisis. In collaboration with the Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO), they facilitated the sacrifice of 200 cows, ensuring that the meat was distributed to 4075 families. This generous initiative was made possible through a grant from the YERYOZ0 DOKTORLARI DERNEĞI.

We deeply appreciate the unwavering support of the YERYOZ0 DOKTORLARI DERNEĞI, which consistently stands by the Afghan people in times of adversity and crisis. Executive Summery:

The Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) successfully implemented the Qurbani Project, an essential Sunnah in Islam; in Kabul and Nangarhar Provinces, Afghanistan. This humanitarian initiative, carried out on June 7, 2025, in Kabul and June 8, 2025, in Nangarhar, was made possible through the generous support of YERYOZ0 DOKTORLARI DERNEĞI.

A total of 200 cows were sacrificed; 99 in Kabul and 101 in Nangarhar provinces with the resulting meat distributed to vulnerable households. In Kabul, 1,505 families received 5 kg of meat each, while in Nangarhar, 2,525 families were each given 3 kg, meeting both spiritual and nutritional needs.

By ensuring food security for thousands of families facing hardship, the project demonstrated the true essence of giving in Islam—blending faith, empathy, and social responsibility.
