UNDP Collaboration: EWSSO’s Vital Role in Combating Afghanistan’s Socioeconomic Crises

Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is taking essential and effective steps to alleviate the ongoing economic and social crises in Afghanistan. Ehsas, which has always been at the forefront of helping its underprivileged compatriots, continues to implement vital projects aimed at rescuing the people from the current economic challenges.

According to available statistics, approximately one-third of Afghanistan’s population, amounting to 15 million people, are in urgent need of assistance. Among them, 9.2 million are children, representing the most vulnerable segment of society. Meanwhile, the World Food Programme (WFP) is only able to support 6 million of those in need.

The widespread unemployment caused by the economic crisis and the lack of job opportunities for young people have further worsened living conditions. Despite its numerous projects and aid initiatives, Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization, with financial support from UNDP, is implementing new and effective programs to provide assistance to its poor and needy citizens.
